The house is in the valley of the river Tevere and is made of stone, of course…It is located about 20 kilometers from Perugia, 30 kilometers from Giotto’s frescoes in Assisi and 20 kilometers from the Festivity of the Candles in Gubbio.

We are Renza and Vittorio, the owners, who left Bologna, where we were born and had lived, and in 1980 bought this house. It was love at first sight, though it was not in good condition, with no roof, no floors and with two cows as the only occupants!

A year later it was already livable: we lived here with our little daughter Olivia for three years, even without a lot of facilities….. those were the best years of our life!

Vittorio, who in Bologna was a teacher at the School of Art, became a bricklayer, and Renza, who designed architectural structures, became a weaver. Many of us had chosen to live in the country: we had left the cities and here, in the valley, our families were happy for a long time. I daresay every day it was a feast!

Step by step we rebuilt the house, always respecting its traditional characteristics, adding our creativity and personalizing it as well with objects found on our journeys. The rooms face onto a vast flowered landscape, while the walls are decorated with original drawings. You will appreciate the eclectic furnishings and will admire pine trees and oaks, the background of a luxuriant garden.

What was once the stable is now the weaving laboratory, where we made the pillows, the curtains and the bed coverings of the rooms.
By the way: it is a Bed & Breakfast, but those who are interested in weaving can learn!

As we have always welcomed friends and acquaintances, since 2003 we began to enjoy the company of our guests: this provides a more relaxing atmosphere and the reciprocal pleasure in staying together. We are waiting for you!
